U.S. Manual of Classification

The U.S. Manual of Classification provides a way to identify relevant patent classes and subclasses. There are two ways to access the Manual of Classification:

Using the search box, select "Look in:" "Patent Classification." This is a broader search that will show you any instance where your search term occurs.
Using the search box, select "Look in:" "Index to Classifications." This is a more narrow search that searches a compiled list of index terms for the Manual. You may want to try this approach first.
